The US Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB) is sounding the trumpet, in an "Urgent Action Alert"

  A grave and serious matter is underway and will be adopted as a part of America's health system if we remain silent and do not act.  Much is at stake here;
 
The office of Health and Human Services (HHS) “has issued a rule forcing nearly all private health plans to include coverage for all FDA-approved prescription contraceptive drugs and devices, as well as surgical sterilization. These are listed among ‘preventive services for women’ that all health plans will have to cover without co-pays or other cost-sharing -- regardless of whether the insurer, the employer or other plan sponsor, or even the woman herself objects to such coverage.”  USCCB

 

  Not only does this rule force participation in the intervention of the affairs of God (contraception prevents life, abortion takes life), but at the same time restricts religious freedoms; restricts the right to follow one’s conscience, the right to practice one’s religious beliefs, without penalization. 

  As humbly and as lovingly as we can state it, we want to remind that Our Lady of Emmitsburg has told us time and again restrictions of our freedoms would occur if change did not/does not take place.  
   As far back as the 1990’s Our Lady of Emmitsburg stated that there will come a time when “forces of power will manipulate and ultimately restrict our freedom”. 
   Are we now facing those restrictions?  Are there more to come?  We pray the answer to both questions is “no”.  Prayer and prayerful action will effect change.  We must engage in both,  We cannot stand idle.
  The United States Bishops are asking that we contact our representatives and voice our opposition to this restrict of religious freedom.  Links are provided on the side bars of this page.    
   We understand that when Our Lady of Emmitsburg first spoke of these things (restriction of freedoms) it sounded incredible to some, unfathomable that freedom could be restricted here in the land of the American Constitution, where freedom of religion is protected.  But now, it’s not sounding so farfetched is it?       
   However, we can impact this situation: We can unite; we can raise our voices; we can support the initiative of the Bishops, by contacting our representatives voicing our opposition to this rule and our support for the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act (H.R. 1179, S. 1467); we can pray and fast; we can read Our Lady’s messages, through which she teaches how to know, love, and serve God in the ways she does.  

Begin now by taking these simple steps. 

* Read and reread Our Lady’s messages.  There is always a message from Our Lady posted on the “Daily Message” page.  Here  Read and re-read them.  The more they are read, the more insights are given.  Then, we can apply her messages to our lives. 

* Commit to a prayer time, it doesn’t have to be long and laborious, keeping it simple, loving and authentic is a beautiful way to spend time with God.  The recitation of a daily Rosary is a wonderful way to spend time in prayer.  Or, consider making a visit to the Blessed Sacrament.

*  Fast by refraining from a treat or a luxury, offering the effort for the work of USCCB in this most critical cause. 

* And, please study the issue before us and then contact your representatives, raising your voice in opposition to this restriction of religious freedom and in support of the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act (H.R. 1179, S. 1467). Links are provided on the side bars of this page. 

  The  “literally unconscionable ” (USCCB) edict of the HHS is most certainly a restriction of religious freedom, a loss  Our Lady has warned of for some time now.  We understand that the realization of what Our Lady of Emmitsburg has prophesied can be a difficult reality to accept, but when her words are processed with prayer and trust, access to the refuge of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary is given.  It is there all fear melts away and hope, faith, and peace are renewed.  The Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary is filled with the Love and Peace of Christ and is an express route to the very Heart of Jesus.  

  Brothers and Sisters in the heart of Jesus and Our Lady , do not be afraid, but do not be mislead.  The warnings are unfolding.  Remember, all things can still be mitigated by prayer. 
  So please in this decisive hour, follow our Lady’s instructions, “Pray, pray, pray” and then “Do whatever He tells you.”
